Our Mongol Rally Team Needs a Name!

Just some of the conditions we will face!

Be There, July 2011!

Why? Because we are joining Sherry Ott of Ottsworld and Rick Griffin of Midlife Road trip on an epic drive through two continents and 10,000 miles.

The Mongol Rally the adventure we have been waiting for. This was made for us and to actually find other people that want to do it too is a major bonus. Our team of crazy, travel-loving bloggers will push ourselves to the limit driving through deserts, over mountains, on non-existent roads and through  bandit country (although I don't know which country that may be!)

All in a car that is ill suited for the extreme conditions it will be facing.

We have a lot of work ahead of us this year.  We need to plan our route, find a car and learn how to fix any problem that may happen on the road.  This isn't your family sedan “Brady Bunch” road trip, this is as extreme as it gets. We are driving around 1/3 of the earth all while Blogging, photographing videoing and surviving the event.   All while raising money for a great cause, the

But there is one small item that needs to be taken care of before we begin.

We need a name!

For the first time ever, we are teaming up with two other well known travel personalities for this incredible journey. We all have our own unique personalities, areas of travel expertise and our own individual niches.

How can we come up with one name to fit us all?  We need some help and who better to ask than the people that know us best. The people that have followed our adventures from cycling through Africa to the high peaks of the Himalayas. We have read some very creative comments over the past year and know that you will be able to come up with far better ideas than we ever will.

We need some suggestions for a name that encompasses not the spirit of the Mongol Rally, but the spirit of our three online personalities.

Submit your ideas for a team name in the comments of this post, on our Facebook pages or via (include #weneedaname hashtag in your submissions) by Monday October 25th. The three of us will go through the submissions together and choose our favorite.

What's in it for you?

You’ll get a super-duper, top-secret, authentic, gift from Mongolia to be sent in September 2011 after we arrive there.  You will get a huge shout out and thank you with a link back from us all and our undying gratitude.

But first, you need to find out a little about our partners in crime.

These are two very accompished and fun people. We are so excited that they actually want to do this with us! What an honour. Read on and you will see why we are so excited!
